The growing drumbeat that Pres. Joe Biden, who was 78-years-old when he took office, is too old for reelection hides the reality that his disastrous policies have met with stiff voter resistance.

A recent New York Times/ Siena College poll says most voters think Pres. Joe Biden, now 81, is too old for re-election.

But is his age really the issue? Or is the media making age a convenient whipping boy to distract from the Democratic Party’s disastrous policies?

You decide!

1. Threat To The Homeland

A recent Gallup Poll found “a record-high 55% of U.S. adults, up eight points from last year, [say] that ‘large numbers of immigrants entering the United States illegally’ is a critical threat to U.S. vital interests. The prior high was 50% in 2004.”

The Hill reports the number of illegal immigrants has roughly doubled under President Biden. In just two years, some 10 million illegal immigrants have entered the country. If they congregated in one state, it would be tied with New York for the fourth most populated state.

The House voted 214-213 on Feb. 13 to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for "willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law" in enforcing border policy and "breach public trust."

2. Two Expensive Wars Are Going Badly

Since Biden’s took office in January 2021, the United States has become mired in (at least) two expensive wars, which are going badly.

Meanwhile, the Congressional Budget Office says America’s national debt of $34 trillion is on pace to increase by $19 trillion over the next decade. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell recently said it is time to once again make it a priority to deal with the national debt.
