Pres. Biden Could End Speculation By Taking A Competency Exam

This is not unprecedented. For example, pilots undergo cognitive/physical competency tests as they age to insure the safety of the lives entrusted to them. This should be required for all Presidents.

There’s no other practical solution to Pres. Biden’s current dilemma.

He admits he performed poorly at the presidential debate, leading observers to question his mental competency. It matters not that he says he had a cold. He can say anything. The one surefire way to resolve suspicion in a credible manner is for Pres. Biden to undergo a neuropsychological evaluation, which measures intellectual functioning, attention, learning and memory, reasoning and problem-solving, etc.

It is not unprecedented

Public safety workers routinely face competency testing and/or mandatory retirement when they get older because they are entrusted with the lives of the public. The U.S. President is arguably the ultimate public safety worker, as s/he alone has the power to plunge the button and engage America in a nuclear war. Why isn’t every U.S. president required to undertake a neuropsychological evaluation, which tests a wide range of psychological and cognitive abilities.
