A 'Strong Majority' Support Trump's Policies
A national poll finds Trump is hitting the right notes with American voters in key areas, from deporting immigrants to cutting government expenditures.
Despite overwhelmingly uniform doom and gloom in U.S. media outlets, a major poll shows the public is surprisingly content with GOP President Donald J. Trump.
In his first month in office, 52% of those polled approve of the job that Trump is doing.
Trump far out-polled former Democratic President Joe Biden with respect to his handling of the economy - 49% of voters approve of Trump’s economic performance (as of 2/25/2025) compared to 37% for Biden (as of 1/25/2025).
This was the findings of a Harvard Caps / Harris Poll conducted by the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University. The poll was conducted among 2,443 registered voters between Feb. 19-20.
Almost one in two voters said the U.S. economy is strong, the highest it has been since 2021.
Meanwhile, half of Republican voters approve of how the GOP is handling its job, while only 36% of Democrats approve of how the Democratic Party is handling its job.
